What is Mneme Therapy?

MnemeTherapy® uses everyday pleasures such as
singing, movement, painting and story telling in a
unique combination to stimulate dramatic
changes in the brain. Although our goal is
to provide a rewarding experience,
documented testimonies show significant
improvement in some clients in verbal
skills, mobility, combativeness, spatial
acuity, understanding instructions
plus much more!

How It Works:

Art as a bridge: Participants create guided art projects—painting, drawing, or other simple mediums—that encourage creative expression.

Engages multiple parts of the brain: Combines art, storytelling, movement, and positive reinforcement, which strengthens cognitive function and memory recall.

One-on-one engagement: Sessions are highly personalized, providing a safe and encouraging space for expression.
Reinforces success: Positive feedback builds confidence and a strong sense of accomplishment.

Accessible to all abilities: No art experience is required—anyone can participate and benefit.

Increases brain activity – MRI-based research showed older adults who participated in art therapy experienced improved working memory and measurable changes in brain structure over 3 months (Neuropsychology Journal, 2021).

Better quality of life – A 2023 meta-analysis of 39 studies (2,800+ participants) found that art-based therapies significantly improved quality of life and reduced agitation in individuals with dementia (BMC Geriatrics, 2023).
